Don't worry! Have no fear! There is a new acronym in town, and it's even better! Today we shall talk...

Movement
Exercise
Analgesic
Treatment

Ok so let's take a "bite" and get into it.

Movement - This is HUGE. Movement is going to keep your body bringing all those yummy nutrients to the injured area. On top of that it is going to help stop you from stiffening up and losing significant range of motion. Yes please! Don't go crazy here just take it slow move within the tolerance of pain.

Exercise - Yes I know it is a bit tender. So what this will mean is to take it down a notch! So don't go full weight bearing right away that's just crazy talk, BUT the quicker you can start to reload the muscle/ligament, whichever it may be, the quicker you will start to heal. Get that blood flowing, just because you can't fully bear weight doesn't mean you can't work out the rest of your body or at least get your heart rate up and blood pumping. Increased blood flow is going to help bring all sorts of our bodies natural healing properties AND pain killers to the inured area plus it will take all the yucky gunk out. 

Analgesic - That brings us here! We are talking natural pain killers if at all possible but obviously if advised by a doctor to do otherwise please follow your MD's advice. Try your best to avoid anti-inflammatories as they may slow or stop our natural healing process (see post about swelling vs inflammation). 

Treatment - Yes finally the gooooooood stuff! Come on in and let's get you on the road to recovery, as soon as possible if I'm honest.
